Best door-to-door sales app: four options compared by cost structure and fit

SalesRabbit, SPOTIO, Knockio and CanvassLite compared from vendor pages by billing model, team size and fit for solar, roofing, pest control and campaigns.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-30

Quick answerNo single door-to-door sales app is best for every team. SalesRabbit and SPOTIO are full field sales platforms priced per user. Knockio is priced per user with a lower rate from five users. CanvassLite is priced by address capacity with unlimited team members stated. Pick by team size, CRM needs and billing model.
CanvassLite is likely to fit when

✓ Owners and managers of small door-knocking crews who want a map, visit statuses and flat team pricing

✓ Seasonal teams whose headcount changes through the year

✓ Campaign field directors running volunteers

✓ Teams that want to start in a browser without an app install

Important limitations

— Teams that need a built-in sales pipeline or CRM sync

— Teams that need a native phone app with location tracking while the browser is closed

— Crews that load far more addresses than the plan limits allow

— One or two reps whose doors a shared spreadsheet already tracks

Best door-to-door sales app: the short list

The best app depends on your team. A five-rep solar crew, a 40-rep roofing company and a county campaign want different things. This guide compares four apps whose own pages were read on October 30, 2026: SalesRabbit, SPOTIO, Knockio and CanvassLite. Other tools exist. Amounts are left to each vendor's live page, and the vendor descriptions below are the vendors' own claims.

What each app is built around

  • SalesRabbit: a field sales platform with canvassing, territories, analytics and paid add-ons such as weather maps and digital contracts, plus a separate roofing CRM.
  • SPOTIO: a field sales platform with B2B and B2C plans, territory and route tools, activity tracking and add-ons such as AI guidance and e-contracts, sold by quote.
  • Knockio: a canvassing app that also sells field service and invoicing features. Its plans run from a field sales tier to an all-in-one tier.
  • CanvassLite: a map-and-visit-log app for door knocking, plans sized by address capacity, with campaign tools as an extra.

How to compare: how each one bills

  • SalesRabbit: per user per month, Team and Pro plans with add-ons per user, an implementation package, and contracts of one to three years.
  • SPOTIO: user-based and quoted, with no public amounts, no free trial and a stated design for teams of five or more.
  • Knockio: per user per month with a lower rate from five users, no contracts and no setup fees, according to its pricing page, and a custom Scale plan for 100 or more users.
  • CanvassLite: by address capacity with unlimited team members stated on its pricing page, a 14-day trial and one-time seasonal plans.

How cost scales with team size

Per-user pricing grows with every rep, and every manager login can count too. Flat pricing grows only when your address list does. A crew of five and a crew of fifty sit on opposite sides of that trade. Add the one-time costs as well. SalesRabbit says an implementation package is always required, SPOTIO says implementation cost varies, and Knockio lists free onboarding and no setup fees. The formula is in the CanvassLite pricing guide: divide the flat price by the per-seat rate to find the seat count where the two meet, then add add-ons and onboarding to the per-seat side.

Which app fits which team

  • Solar and roofing teams with storm work: SalesRabbit lists weather overlays and a roofing CRM. Knockio lists roofing and solar pages. SPOTIO lists roofing and storm restoration.
  • Pest control and home services: SalesRabbit, Knockio and CanvassLite list pest control, and SPOTIO and CanvassLite list home services. Compare how each handles recurring routes and follow-ups.
  • Small or seasonal crews: a flat price helps when headcount changes. CanvassLite's one-time plans and Knockio's no-contract terms are the two stated options on these pages.
  • Larger sales organizations that need CRM sync: SPOTIO lists CRM integrations in its base plans and a dedicated implementation manager for 25 licenses or more, and SalesRabbit lists API and integrations on its Pro plan. Ask each for its integration list.
  • Campaign field directors: CanvassLite lists voter scoring and Election Day tools. SalesRabbit lists a political industry page.

What to ask before you pay

  • What counts as a user, and do managers and owners count?
  • What is the total with add-ons, onboarding and the contract term?
  • Which CRM or spreadsheet can it export to, and how often?
  • What happens to my data if I cancel? SalesRabbit vs SPOTIO shows the vendor answers for two of them.
